Prepare one handover note

Bring together the final proposal, contract or grant agreement and relevant decision records. Identify the approved version of each document. Do not present an unresolved question as a settled decision.

Translate commitments into work

Connect each important deliverable with an owner, a source document and a planning question. Check how proposal assumptions are reflected in the agreement. Discuss differences instead of silently carrying them into the work plan.

Review the handover together

Business development and delivery teams should review the same note. Give unresolved issues an owner and a follow-up date. The European Commission provides separate project management guidance for grant agreements and procurement contracts; choose the relevant document type.
